About Spitha Wellness

Rekindle the Spark Within

“Spitha” (GK: Spark) Wellness is named after Lina’s late grandfather Athanasios Panagopoulos’ faithful friend, his hunting dog. Athanasios grew up in the small mountainside village of Kouvelia in Southern Peleponesos, Greece. He was a man of many talents: a violinist, singer, hunter, father, husband, and grandfather. Athanasios delivered babies too (though he wasn’t a doctor). At 37 he was killed in the war, leaving behind three children, his wife, and his dog. The olive trees marked the dowry of his union to Magdaline Prassinos, whom Lina is named after. Magdaline raised their family independently as a single mother.

This business is dedicated to their memory and to finding the creative spark of communicative musicone’s inner voiceto empower those who feel the sorrow and burden of life’s hardships. Sessions draw on many therapeutic modalities, primarily narrative, psychodynamic, integrative DBT and culturally-adapted ACT and CBT.
